Mulcher, forest mulcher - caterpillar-mounted equipment designed for chopping wood, stumps and standing bushes.
To move the machine, a hydrostatic transmission chain is used: Hydraulic pump - Hydraulic motor - Planetary mulcher gearbox.
Reducer for mulcher
Specialty machines such as mulchers use special HFT-T gearboxes that are best suited for track-driven machines. These units are based on gear-type gears, which provide the best contact and improve the performance of the machine. Such units are characterized by resistance to physical stress and vibration, allowing the machine to be used for many years.
The main task of a mulcher gearbox is to transmit torque from the engine to the crawler drive elements through the use of several mechanical gears. The gearbox reduces the rotation speed, thereby automatically increasing the torque of the driven shaft in comparison with the drive shaft. This provides smoother gear shifting, allowing the mulcher to work as efficiently and accurately as possible.
In accordance with the regulations, the mulcher gearbox is manufactured in 3 different categories Today, such devices are used not only in mulchers, but also in machines and mechanisms such as crawler cranes of various modifications.
