What is Planetary Gearbox?
As we know,A planetary gearbox is a type of gear structure. that usually consists of one or more external gears rotating around a central gear. just as the planets revolve around the sun, hence the name. In addition, planetary gears usually have an outer ring at the outermost part of the gear . to fit the planetary gear’s winding path. Planetary gears are usually divided into simple and complex planetary gears. Simple planetary gears have a sun gear, an outer ring, a planetary gear and a planetary carrier. respectively. Complex planetary gears usually refer to gear systems that contain both planetary and sun gear systems. Complex planetary gears have high reduction ratio . and high torque compared to simple planetary gears.
Because the planet gears are evenly distributed around the sun gear, planetary gear trains are known to be extremely rugged designs. Another benefit of a planetary gearset is that it is easy to convert to a different ratio by simply changing out the carrier and sun gears.

Electrically driven versions are available with both in-line and right-angle configurations. Torque ratings are organized by FEM class, in accordance with minimum approved class safety factors for gears.

Working Principle of Planetary Gearbox
Planetary gearbox includes a central sun gear, an outer ring, a carrier, and the planetary gears.
Planetary gears are proportional to the ring part, which is fixed, causing the planetary parts to rotate around the sun gear. Input power to the sun gear creates spinning
Carrier keeps the planetary gears in their basic form and sets their gaps. It turns with the planetary parts and incorporates the output shaft.

Components of the Planetary GearBox

Planet Gears

Carrier
The carrier holds the planet gears in place and allows them to rotate around the sun gear. The carrier can also serve as an output connection point, depending on the design of the gearbox.
Ring Gear
